MultiMerch needs to be configured after installation to work properly. All MultiMerch core configuration settings are located under Admin > MultiMerch > Settings and are divided into multiple sections.
This section contains general MultiMerch settings related to vendor accounts.
Seller validation – setting no validation here will automatically approve all registered vendors, manual validation will make newly registered vendors inactive until approved by the administrator.
Seller account terms – if enabled, the vendors will have to agree to the terms when creating a vendor account.
Badges – if enabled, you will be able to assign various badges to vendor accounts.
Social links – if enabled, vendors will be able to link to their social media accounts in their profiles.
Google Analytics – if enabled, vendors will be able to specify their Google Analytics tracking code to track their profiles and products in Google Analytics.
Allow nickname change – this will allow vendors change their nicknames after the initial signup.
Seller nickname rules – this setting defines what characters are allowed within vendor nicknames. Alphanumeric will only allow basic alphanumeric letters and whitespace. Extended latin will additionally allow diacritical marks from Latin Extended-A block. Full UTF-8 will allow all printable UTF-8 symbols.
This section controls various aspects of the product form used by the vendors to manage their products.
Product validation – setting no validation here will automatically approve all products, manual validation will make newly added products inactive until approved by the administrator.
Allow questions on product page – set to Yes to allow customers ask questions about products.
Minimum and maximum product price – if greater than zero, vendors will not be able to publish products cheaper or more expensive than defined here.
Allow multiple categories – set to Yes to allow vendors publish products to multiple categories.
Disallowed categories – prevent vendors from listing products in specific categories.
Include fields for products – allow vendors specify these OpenCart product properties when listing products.
Allowed image extensions – comma-separated list of file extensions allowed to be uploaded and used as product images.
Allowed download extensions – comma-separated list of file extensions allowed to be uploaded and used as product downloads.
Enable OpenCart's "Shippable" option – set to Yes to make all published products shippable by OpenCart (see OpenCart Shipping docs for more info), set to Seller select to let the vendor choose it per product.
Tag whitelist – only allow specific tags within the product description text editor.
This section controls MultiMerch settings related to sales and orders.
Completed orders – vendor balance will be funded appropriately when an order status gets changed to one of the statuses specified here. Recommended setting: Completed. You need at least one status selected for MultiMerch to work properly.
Refunded orders – vendor balance will be charged when an order status gets changed to one of the statuses specified here. This will only happen if there was a corresponding Fund transaction first.
PayPal address – you must specify your PayPal address if you're planning to collect signup and listing fees via PayPal.
PayPal Sandbox mode – use this to test/debug PayPal payments.
This section controls various MultiMerch settings not defined elsewhere.
Private messaging – enabling this will allow customers contact vendors through private messages.
Disqus comments – enabling this will allow visitors post comments using the Disqus system on product pages and vendor profiles.
Image sizes part controls various image sizes in the marketplace.
SEO part controls settings for the search engine optimized vendor slugs:
Generate SEO URLs for new vendors – if enabled, SEO keyword will be automatically generated for all new vendors. To use this setting, SEO URLs need to be correctly enabled in OpenCart (in System->Settings->(Your Store) Edit->Server->Use SEO URLs).
Generate SEO URLs for new products (experimental) – if enabled, SEO keyword will be automatically generated for all new products. Experimental, especially for non-English stores. To be able to use this setting, SEO URLs need to be correctly enabled in OpenCart (in System->Settings->(Your Store) Edit->Server->Use SEO URL's).
Allow UTF8 in SEO URLs (experimental) – if enabled, UTF8 symbols will not be stripped from SEO keywords (they are removed by default).
